Day 1: Arrival at Phuentsholing – Border Town Exploration
On arrival at Bagdogra Airport / NJP Railway Station, proceed by road to Phuentsholing. Check in at the hotel and in the evening visit Zangto Pelri Lhakhang, enjoy a walk along the Amo Chhu River, explore the local market, followed by dinner and overnight stay at Phuentsholing.
Day 2: Phuentsholing to Thimphu – Scenic Drive & Permit Formalities
After breakfast, complete permit formalities at the Phuentsholing Immigration Office and then drive to Thimphu, visiting Kharbandi Gompa, Chukha Hydropower Dam viewpoint, and scenic waterfalls en route, before checking in at the hotel for dinner and overnight stay in Thimphu.
Day 3: Thimphu Sightseeing – Dochula Pass – Punakha
After breakfast, proceed for Thimphu sightseeing covering Buddha Dordenma Statue, Memorial Chorten, Tashichho Dzong, and Simply Bhutan Museum, and later drive to Punakha via Dochula Pass to see the 108 Druk Wangyal Chortens and Himalayan views, followed by hotel check-in, dinner, and overnight stay at Punakha.
Day 4: Phobjikha Valley Excursion – Nature & Monastery Tour
After breakfast, enjoy a full-day excursion to Phobjikha Valley where you will visit Gangtey Monastery, admire the beautiful glacial valley, and take a nature walk, before returning to Punakha in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Punakha to Paro – Dzong & Suspension Bridge Visit
After breakfast, visit Punakha Dzong and the Suspension Bridge, and later drive to Paro enjoying scenic river and valley views en route, followed by hotel check-in, leisure time at the local market, dinner, and overnight stay at Paro.
Day 6: Paro Sightseeing – Tiger’s Nest & Cultural Heritage
After breakfast, proceed for full-day Paro sightseeing including a visit to the iconic Tiger’s Nest Monastery (hike optional), Kyichu Lhakhang, Paro Dzong, and the National Museum of Bhutan, followed by dinner and overnight stay at Paro.
Day 7: Paro to Phuentsholing – Return Journey
After breakfast, drive from Paro to Phuentsholing enjoying scenic landscapes along the way. Check in at the hotel on arrival, spend the evening shopping or at leisure, and enjoy dinner with overnight stay at Phuentsholing.
Day 8: Departure
After breakfast, depart from Phuentsholing and proceed to Bagdogra Airport / NJP Railway Station for onward journey, concluding the Bhutan tour with wonderful memories.
